Comparison

Aced vs Teesnap

Teesnap publishes a facility logo rail, named owner and general-manager testimonials, US-based support, a resources library and tournament capability through a Golf Genius integration. Aced is early, and its argument is that tournaments should not need an integration at all.

Verified against Teesnap’s official published material on August 20, 2026. Vendors change their products and their pages frequently — check the sources at the foot of this page before relying on any row.

How the two are positioned

The sharpest difference here is architectural. Teesnap publishes tournament capability via an integration with Golf Genius — a specialist product that is very good at what it does, and which Lightspeed also publishes an integration with. That is a legitimate design: use the best scoring tool and connect it.

Aced takes the other route. Tournaments are native, which means the entry fee is charged as a line on the pro-shop register and categorized in sales reporting, the draw holds actual tee times on the same sheet the starter reads, and the result lands on the same golfer record that carries their bookings and purchases. Whether that is worth more than a specialist scoring product depends entirely on how much your operation cares about those seams.

On institutional trust, Teesnap is ahead and it is not close: named operators, a logo rail, a published support model and a resource library. Aced publishes a founder’s name and a gap list. Weigh those honestly.

Side by side

Capability by capability

The right-hand column describes what Teesnap publishes on its own site, not an assessment of what it does internally. Neither column contains a price — commercial terms belong in a proposal, and publishing a competitor's is worse than publishing your own.

Where Aced is the stronger choice

  • Tournaments native to the platform rather than reached through an integration
  • Entry fees charged and reported through the pro-shop register
  • Staff scheduling, time clock and payroll export in the same system
  • A published gap list and a no-email product preview
  • One database behind the tee sheet, register, website and golfer record

Where Teesnap is the stronger choice

  • Named operator testimonials and a facility logo rail you can verify
  • A published, US-based support model
  • A resources library and established buyer-education material
  • Golf Genius for courses that specifically want that scoring platform
  • Years of operating history behind the product

Why the second column exists

Because a comparison page where the competitor never wins is not a comparison. If you are buying software that takes the money at your course, the vendor willing to tell you where it is weaker is the one whose other claims are worth reading.

Judge it on your own operation

A feature table is a starting point, not a decision. Twenty minutes on your rate structure and your Saturday will tell you more than any row above.
