Switch from your old POS

ForeUp, Whoosh, TeeSnap, Lightspeed, Revel or any CSV — what moves, and what deliberately doesn't.

Moving systems is the scariest day of the year for a business. Aced's importers are built so it isn't: export from your old system, drop the files in, and check the numbers before anything counts.

Where it lives

Open /switch — the Switch to Aced hub. Three importers, in the order that works best:

  1. Customers — names, emails, phones, member types, and store-credit balances. Imported credit books correctly as an opening liability, not fake revenue.
  2. Inventory — products with prices, categories, stock counts, and costs (costs power your margin reports from day one).
  3. Gift cards — outstanding codes with their remaining balances. The same codes keep working at your register, so nobody's gift card dies in the move.

Vendor presets

Each importer has one-tap presets for ForeUp, Whoosh, TeeSnap, Lightspeed, and Revel — pick your old system and the columns map themselves. Any other system works too: export to CSV and match the columns by hand (the preview shows exactly what each row will become).

Check before it counts

Every import shows a preview and a summary — rows in, rows imported, rows skipped and why. Spot-check five customers, five products, and your gift-card total against the old system's export before you call it done.

What deliberately doesn't import

Old sales and transaction history stays in your old system. Importing someone else's ledger would pollute clean books your accountant can trust. What carries over is every real liability (gift cards, store credit) and every real relationship (customers, members, prices, stock). Keep read-only access to the old system for a while if you need old receipts.

Tip: import customers before gift cards — cards that reference a customer link up automatically when the customer already exists.
