Ring a sale

The register flow — items, customers, discounts, and every way to pay.

The basics

Tap items from the catalog (or scan), attach a customer if you want the sale on their history, and hit Charge. Green fees sent from the tee sheet arrive pre-priced per golfer.

Attaching a customer unlocks

  • their store credit as a tender,
  • their house account (charge now, settle monthly),
  • membership pricing and reward redemptions,
  • receipts by email, and the sale in their portal history.

Tenders

One sale can be paid by any mix of:

  • Cash — with quick-amount buttons and exact change math.
  • Card — reader, keyed, or a QR the customer pays on their phone. Two-card splits are supported.
  • Gift card / store credit — by code or from the attached customer.
  • House account — puts it on their tab; invoice them later.

Tabs, discounts, refunds

  • Tabs park an order (a foursome running a lunch tab) and recall it by name.
  • League night: on days a league or event is playing, the Tabs window lists everyone on the tee sheet for it — one tap opens a tab already bound to that player, so their loyalty, card on file, and history follow automatically.
  • Discounts are line-level or whole-sale, dollar or percent, and always show on the receipt.
  • Refunds are per-tender and per-line: card portions go back to the card, cash portions come from the drawer, and the Z-report reflects both.
Tip: every completed sale — cash, card, store credit, split, membership, or gift card — ends on a Sale complete screen with the receipt chooser: print, email, both, or nothing (skipping is one tap and legal everywhere). Need one later? Open Sales, tap the sale, and use the ✉ email or 🖨 print buttons — receipts can be re-sent or re-printed any time.

Emails wear your look: design them in Settings → Receipts & Email (logo, accent color, wording, reply-to) and both the receipt and the tee-time booking confirmation render exactly like the preview. With Auto-send on (the default), a sale with an attached customer emails its own receipt at checkout, and every booking with an email on file — online or pro shop — confirms itself automatically.

Product options & kitchen notes

Products with option groups (Size, Milk, Add-ons — set up in Settings → Product options) open a picker at the register and on the order-ahead page. Each choice can carry a small photo (add it in Settings → Product options), and every configured item can take a note — "extra hot", "no ice" — that follows the line onto the kitchen display, the printed ticket, and the receipt.

The kitchen display

Making food or drinks? Orders → Kitchen display opens a full-screen prep board built for a wall screen: new orders appear the moment they're paid, age timers turn amber then red as tickets wait, and one big tap moves an order to Ready and then out. It runs on any tablet or spare screen — no special hardware. Every option prints on its own line, notes show loud in red, and the 🖨 button on any ticket reprints it.

Kitchen tickets on paper

Back of house doesn't run a screen? Turn on "Print a kitchen ticket automatically" in the register's Printer setup: every completed food & drink sale — and every incoming online order — prints a ticket with the items, options and notes (no prices). It works best with a networked Star (WebPRNT) printer, which prints silently; an installed printer opens the print dialog each time.

Order-ahead emails

Customers who order online are kept in the loop automatically: paying sends a confirmation email ("we're making it now" with their items), and bumping their ticket to Ready sends the ready-for-pickup email — no extra taps, and walk-in register sales never trigger either. Businesses that enable order-ready texts in Settings → Notifications send a text at Ready too.
